Freestyle Selection

This year’s British Freestyle Selection is now over and all 3 runandjump freestyle paddlers have made the cut.

James Bebbington and David Bainbridge winning their classes and British Championships respectively.

Jon and James have now left the UK for warmer climates this winter in preparation for next years international competitions, roll on 2010

ISPO 2010

ISPO is based at the Munich Messe spread over 17 halls it is the largest sports fashion trade show in the world.

Pre World Rafting Championships

Runandjump sponsored British Raft Team are off to Holland on the weekend of 23 – 25th of October to complete at the Pre World Rafting Championships.

After winning the Sprint World Championships in the summer in Bosnia the team are feeling good about competing in Holland as part of their build up for the 2010 R4 World Championships.

Snow Storm @ Xscape

On Friday runandjump and studio buddies Bantum Clothing hit up the Xscape Snow Dome in Castleford for the quarterly Snow Storm evening. With live hip hop DJ’s on the slopes and in the bar, Illustration artists and an array of our latest wear’s we had a sweet evening doing something a little different. Although there wasn’t much water to be found we we still managed to acquire some new friends and groupies to rep runandjump on the slopes.

Outdoors Show Review

The Outdoors Show 2009 ran from Friday the 27th of March to Sunday the 29th at the NEC in Birmingham and once again runandjump were in attendance.

The show was a chance for us to showcase our latest designs and spread the good runandjump word.

As part of the show 4 of runandjump’s sponsored team took part in lecture talks throughout the weekend beginning with Graham Milton on the main World Theatre stage followed by David Bainbrige, Chris Harvey and Pas Blackwell talking in the TRAD theatre.

Each talk consisted with information for the audience on the specific discipline of their specialist sport, an overview of their career highlights and the future of the sport as a whole as well as their own personal goals. All of the talks were fantastic to watch and certainly helped to make more people aware of these up and coming water sports.

There were 5 team riders around at the weekend making a mischief of themselves, chatting to the public and even giving kayaking demonstration in the kayaking pool. Jon Best and David Bainbridge entertained the crowds with some flat water tricks while Chris Harvey’s surf kayak was on the stand for all to see.

The weekend was a great success not only for showcasing runandjump but also for raising the profile of water sports and the individuals that push the sports to the limits.

Massive thanks to all those who helped over the weekend, the build up weeks and to all our new friends and customers.

Chris Harvey secures Santa Cruz hat trick

Team paddler Chris Harvey once again has returned home from California after winning in the Santa Cruz surf competition.

This is the third time Chris has won gold at Santa Cruz capturing a sweet hat trick of wins in the process.

Richard Underwood joins the team

Local wakeboarder Richard Underwood has joined the runandjump team and will be flying the flag for runandjump on the wakeboarding cicuit this year.

Rich is an exciting young rider who is hoping to make some quick progress through the senior ranks this year. Rich went big and won the Uniwake Big Air competition last year and finished 3rd in the student nationals. We all look forward to his progress in 2009, in the mean time check out our movies page for a cool flick of Rich in action.
