Adrenaline Drops

Runandjump presented the first “Adrenaline Drops” evening at bar Stone in Nottingham.

Aimed at extreme sports lovers from the city we dropped beats from 2 local Dj’s, presented extreme sport DVD’s supplied by Red Bull, The Fat Cat’s and Pommie Productions. The bar was jumping all night and topped off by 4 of Nottingham’s tightest break dancers who dazzled the crowd.

The new 2009 runandjump range was on display for all to see and team members Jon Best, David Bainbridge, Graham Milton and Pas Blackwell all made appearances.

The plan is to push Adrenaline Drop’s on into 2009 making it a monthly event for all extreme sport lovers and clubs in Nottingham.

Harvey wins UK High Performance

Team paddler Chris Harvey this weekend took a final win in Newquay, Cornwall to clinch the overall gold in the UK High Performance Surf Kayak Series.

After a year of consistent results Harvey pumped on through to take the win. Look out for Chris in this month’s Canoe and Kayak magazine and an upcoming DVD following Chris and his team around Peru in the pursuit of a mystical wave..

Bainbridge wins British Champs

David Bainbridge this weekend rounded off an awsome year of boating by winning the British Freestyle Championships in Nottingham this weekend.

As per usual David lead from the start to beat Jamie Burbeck in the final by 245 points by bagging a total of 350 points.

All eyes will be on David next year as he bids to take over the world at the World Freestyle Championships  in Toon.

runandjump win Etive Extreme Race

Three teams made up of runandjump team members and groupies headed up to Scotland for the first Annual Etive Extreme Race.

With flash flooding the night before the big race unfortunately the race was pushed up the river to the grade 3 section above. Even without the race being run on the main section and the rain pouring down we all still had a mint time.

Runandjump Team 2 consisting of Graham Milton and Pete Scutt took the title with runandjump groupies Rob Edgar and Paul Sheppard finishing close behind in 3rd place.

Next year’s race is shaping up to be a good one and runandjump will be back with avengance!
